If you're experiencing issues with Zenfl Job Alerts, this guide will help you identify and resolve the most common problems. If your issue isn't covered here, please contact our support team for personalized assistance.
Not Receiving Job Alerts
Problem: No Alerts From a New Feed
If you've created a new feed but aren't receiving any alerts:
Check the Jobs Tab:
- Open the mini-app and go to the "Jobs" tab
- If no jobs appear, your filters may be too restrictive
Verify Feed Status:
- Send
/feeds
command to see if your feed is paused - Look for the pause/play icon and ensure it's set to "active"
- Send
Review Strict Mode Setting:
- Check if strict mode is enabled
- Disable it to receive jobs that might be missing some filter data
Check Keyword Filters:
- Make sure you're using the ALL/ANY/NONE conditions appropriately
- Using "ALL" with multiple keywords may be too restrictive
Wait for New Jobs:
- Alerts only come from new jobs posted after your feed is created
- It may take some time for matching jobs to appear on Upwork
Problem: Alerts Suddenly Stopped
If you were receiving alerts but they suddenly stopped:
Check Telegram Settings:
- Ensure you haven't blocked or muted the bot
- Verify Telegram notifications are enabled for the bot
Verify Feed Status:
- Send
/feeds
command to check if your feed was accidentally paused - Check if your subscription is still active
- Send
Ensure Bot is Working:
- Send a simple message to the bot to see if it responds
- Check our Status Page for any system outages
Check for Feed Changes:
- If you recently edited your feed, it may have become too restrictive
- Use the "Jobs" tab to verify jobs are matching your criteria
Feed Configuration Issues
Problem: Too Many Irrelevant Jobs
If you're receiving too many irrelevant job alerts:
Use Exclusion Filters:
- Add keywords to the "NONE" section to exclude irrelevant jobs
- Example: Add "wordpress", "php" to NONE if you don't work with those technologies
Enable Strict Mode:
- This ensures you only receive jobs with complete information matching your criteria
Refine Client Filters:
- Add minimum client rating requirements (e.g., 4.5+)
- Filter for payment verified clients only
- Set minimum client spending thresholds
Use Title-Specific Searches:
- Set keyword filters to search only in job titles for more relevant matches
- Job titles generally reflect the core skills required
Use the Fix Feed Feature:
- After refining your feed, use the "Fix Feed" button for AI-powered optimization
Problem: Too Few Job Alerts
If you're not receiving enough job alerts:
Broaden Your Filters:
- Remove or reduce minimum budget/rate requirements
- Expand the range of client countries
- Disable strict mode to include jobs with incomplete information
Adjust Keyword Settings:
- Switch from "ALL" to "ANY" for keyword searches
- Add more variations of keywords (e.g., "react", "reactjs", "react.js")
- Remove some required skills
Add More Categories:
- Include related categories where your skills might apply
- Example: Add "Web Development" if you're only looking in "Frontend Development"
Check the Jobs Tab:
- Use the Jobs tab to see what's available and adjust filters accordingly
Mini-App Issues
Problem: Mini-App Not Loading
If the mini-app fails to load:
Update Telegram:
- Ensure you're using the latest version of Telegram
- Mini-apps require an up-to-date Telegram app
Try Different Device:
- If it doesn't work on desktop, try mobile or vice versa
- The mini-app works best on mobile devices
Clear Cache:
- In Telegram, go to Settings > Advanced > Clear Cache
- Restart Telegram and try again
Network Issues:
- Check your internet connection
- Try connecting through a different network
Problem: Changes Not Saving
If your feed changes aren't saving:
Check Connection:
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection
- Poor connectivity can prevent changes from being saved
Try Refreshing:
- Close and reopen the mini-app
- Try using the
/start
command to reset the bot connection
Use Desktop Client:
- Try making changes through the Telegram desktop client if mobile isn't working
Webhook Integration Issues
Problem: Webhook Not Receiving Data
If your webhook isn't receiving job alerts:
Verify Subscription Status:
- Webhooks are only available for paid subscribers
- Check that your subscription is active
Check URL Format:
- Ensure your webhook URL is correctly formatted
- It must start with https:// for security reasons
Test Webhook Endpoint:
- Verify your endpoint is publicly accessible
- Test it with a tool like RequestBin or Webhook.site
Check Server Response:
- Your server must respond with a 200 OK status within 10 seconds
- Review your server logs for any errors
Firewall Settings:
- Ensure your firewall allows incoming requests from Zenfl's IP addresses
Problem: Webhook Rate Limits
If you're concerned about webhook usage:
Monitor Usage:
- Remember that 1,000 requests per month are included in your subscription
- Additional requests are billed at $0.01 per request
Implement Filtering:
- Make your feeds more specific to reduce the number of matching jobs
- Use client quality filters to focus on higher-quality opportunities

Problem: Subscription Payment Failed
If your payment didn't go through:
Check Card Details:
- Verify your card information is correct
- Ensure your card hasn't expired
Contact Your Bank:
- Some banks may block international transactions
- Ask your bank if they blocked the payment
Try Another Payment Method:
